Okra
Everybody’s favorite slimy vegetable! Okra has many uses including the New Orleans traditional gumbo. No need to plant very much of this because the speed in which new okra’s reach a good size will astound you. Check the plants often because okra gets very tough after a period of time. Steam it, fry it, or use it to thicken soups. Plant between March and August.
