How Do I Sign Up?
If you are eligible to purchase LLT properties through the Lot Next Door you will receive a certified letter from the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) letting you know about your opportunity to purchase. This letter will include the appraised value of the property and instructions about how to proceed in purchasing the lot. You’ll be asked to make an appointment with NORA to place a 20% deposit within 60 days of receiving the letter
When you come in for your appointment, let the NORA staff know that you’d like to participate in the Growing Home program. Only LLT properties sold through the Lot Next Door are eligible to participate in the Growing Home program. After placing your deposit on the property NORA’s landscape architect will schedule a time to meet with you to help plan your new garden!
